16 Stabilizing the Wood Framework in Place

a. Securing the timber-frame work within itself:                                                   b. Silicon-aided connections tying down the timber-

c. Connecting the timber-frame to the steel-frame that forms the structure of the living room floor and that will help tie the whole building together when it is all finished. The steel workmen have come back in to weld rectangular pieces (5cm x20cm) to the steel frame, and the timber-frame will be nailed through the two holes in each welded piece.





Besides, the timber-frame is tied to the brick masonry side wall with a steel 'clamp' that was already inside the wall originally...
