The wood delivery arrives today: Both main oak logs (pre-treated) and pine wood cladding (primed with white undercoat) arrive.
The whole Esat Demirel crew is ready to unload the delivery.
The wood façade cladding is ready to be mounted. The next two photos show the façade before the cladding work starts covering it:

Wood cladding on the front façade: The detail at the bottom, where the first piece sits on the masonry wall, is a special detail. The previous cladding seen on the side façade shows the poor quality detailing where the first board is half-exposed and wrongly tucked-in behind this first board, allowing water to flow in. Instead, we opted to correct this detail in our new cladding, thus also deciding on a major point: to re-do the side façade as well (since otherwise the front and side would be mis-aligned)! Large parts of the side façade, especially to the back, were poorly done late alterations anyway. Thus, since deciding to re-do the cladding, we will also get a chance to check the structural framework of the side façade as well.
The living room front façade:
The cladding reaches the 1. floor bedroom level. The cladding work will stop there for now until the special cornice moulding profile, visually separating the two storeys, is prepared in the woodshop and delivered to the construction site.
